About the Author

Khwaja Hasan Nizami (6 January 1878 – 31 July 1955) was an Indian Sufi saint, Urdu essayist, humorist, and satirist, known for his insightful and often humorous writing. He authored over 60 books, including works on the Indian Rebellion of 1857, and is credited with more than 500 writings on a variety of subjects. A descendant of a family closely associated with Mughal royalty, Nizami’s literature reflects his deep spiritual roots and historical knowledge, often blending Sufi teachings with engaging storytelling. His vivid accounts of Mughal history and personal anecdotes, particularly those of the fallen Mughal family, continue to captivate readers and provide a unique perspective on South Asian history and culture.
